I went to Ashevile, North Carolina last week/weekend to go to a wedding. I did some great sight seeing there. Here is Tenn, just before getting to North Carolina We went to Spivey Mountain, on private propert, though al the "locals" use the two-track to get there. Some great views of Ashevile, below We went also to Mt Mitchel, highest pint east of the Mississippi at 6,684 feet. Along the way on Blue Ridge Parkway, looking down on the North Fork Resevoir Mt Mitchell Views Looking down from the summit to the parkinglot On the summit, looking back to the road we took to get here

Hi CJ We left at 8am and got ther atabout 8pm so took us 12 hours. That was with gas/potty and eating stops. We had my sisters little yourky dog along and once we stoped for half an hour at a rest area to walk him too. Have a good time when you go. The color in the mountain areas higher up are getting closer to peak too. Mike

hey mike, I cant wait to go im really excited. And 12 hours is not bad at all. When i go i go through virginia and west virginia and then have to go to the ocean and almost to s.c. so it takes me about 16 hrs to get there. I'll have to tell you how the mountains look they will probably have snow on them by then.
